Creating spaces of belonging for LGBTIQ+ Victorians
We want everyone in Victoria to feel safe, connected and included.
But LGBTIQ+ individuals face unique mental health challenges, often due to societal stigma and systemic discrimination. We all have an important role to play in creating a healthier and fairer Victoria - where LGBTIQ+ individuals feel supported and empowered to live their lives to the fullest.
Recently, we sat down with Victoria’s Commissioner for LGBTIQ+ communities, Dr. Todd Fernando to talk about his Big Ideas for community health and wellbeing.
Bringing Big Ideas to life
Through Future Healthy, we’re partnering with an incredible bunch of organisations who are moving the dial on LGBTIQ+ mental health and wellbeing. These changemakers are creating safe spaces for LGBTIQ+ communities. And providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive.
